True nursing is more than a job. It's a vocation — and a privilege. At the Conway School of Nursing, you will learn to provide compassionate care and healing to patients as whole human persons. Our dedicated faculty and our curricula, grounded in science, philosophy, and faith, will prepare you for more than a job in nursing — we will help guide you toward your calling.
Our 96% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX) — required to practice as a Registered Nurse — surpasses the 83% national pass rate.
Two-thirds of our graduates are hired by the University's clinical partners in the D.C. metropolitan area.
The Art of the Possible: Virtual Reality
Developing into a highly skilled nurse takes time — and practice. In addition to first-class faculty, the Conway School of Nursing offers a brand new, state-of-the-art nursing building complete with simulation opportunities that you won't get in other nursing programs. These include a virtual hospital environment and virtual reality technologies that will expose you to various clinical scenarios and better prepare you for real-world nursing practice.
I chose the Conway School of Nursing because it had a great academic nursing program, but also had wonderful clinical experiences in Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia. The Conway School teaches nurses to be for the whole person; mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
